With inflation and rising energy costs, fundraising is now more important than ever! This year we need to raise £125,000 in additional funding for the school. We’ve worked closely with the teachers, governors and parents to agree a target that will make a huge difference to the opportunities we provide our children. This funding will go towards on going opportunities beyond the core curriculum such as outdoor learning, book week, school trips, art week, music enrichment, language lessons, our dedicated PE teacher, as well as one off projects like helping to create more enriching and neurodiverse classrooms.

Monthly Donations

The ABC fund is set up to enable us to go further in meeting the school ambitions, values and ethos of the school and improve the experience of all the children.
Last year we received £47,000 of which £11,326 was used to pay for building maintenance and the rest was spent on creating wonderful opportunities such as African drumming, violin and trumpet lessons. outdoor learning, school trips, and language lessons.

The ABC fund is a suggested £20 monthly direct debit donation made by parents via the link below.

Parents who can afford to give more are kindly encouraged to do so.

PSA (Parent Staff Association)

The PSA’s mission is to enrich our children’s experiences and enhance their wellbeing. Generous parents give up their time and money to fundraise through sponsored events for the things the school really needs beyond the every day essentials. Most recently the PSA has helped fund the Astroturf, refurbished the school hall, provided new AV equipment and put on events such as Art and book week.Last year the PSA raised £38,000.  Over the next three years the PSA is focused on the redecoration of all our children’s classrooms to create more enriching an neurodiverse classrooms.

Download the easifundraising app and type in your cause (Princess Frederica school), and then get shopping, with major brands such as amazon giving back 1.5%! Last year we made £5000 for the school, so it really does add up.

Friends of Freds

Kensal Rise and Kensal Green are characterized by a strong community spirit and many of our local businesses understand that support of local schools has a positive impact on their image. We want to offer opportunities for on-going partnerships between local companies and Princess Frederica’s PSA. I return we will offer the business the ability to categorise their investment as a charitable donation, as well as benefit from the exposure of their business to our parent community.

Matched Giving

Some employers have schemes that match your personal charitable donations, as the PSA and ABC fund are charities if your business does offer this, then they will be able to match any donations you give.

What’s happened this 1/2 term?

  • The Back to School meeting took place with the Headship team and the PSA discussing plans for the year. Thank you to all who attended this brilliant and informative session.
  • Unity Day took place on Thursday 26th September. The children looked amazing in their costumes, there was a fabulous menu of food to sample and a varied music programme arranged by Mr Tang. Although the weather meant coming inside, it was still a wonderful event for our whole school community. Thank you to all the parent organisers and helpers on the day.

What’s happening next 1/2 term?

  • Fredstive, the school’s Christmas community event, will take place
  • The kids’ Christmas School Disco will return
  • Kensal’s best Christmas trees will be once again be on sale at the school – details to follow

Fundraising Goals!

  • This year we want to raise a total of £125,000. £75,000 through monthly parent donations via the ABC fund and £50,000 through PSA events
  • We will share fundraising updates every half term moving forward
  • Our fundraising target for Fredstive is £10,000

  • We are also looking for “Friends of Fred’s” business sponsors for the year to help support all our amazing plans. If you know any companies that may want to support our school, please get in touch.
